This beautiful angel pin is from the Victorian (ca1880) era and is made from hand carved ivory. The pin depicts the head of a three-dimensional angel looking to the side, framed by beautiful wings on either side. The craftsmanship is excellent, including realistic facial features, curled tendrils of hair, and individual textured feathers on each wing. On the back of the pin is the original clasp with a 'c' catch. The ivory is in excellent condition with no chips or breaks to this delicate piece. It would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures 1 1/2" wide, 1 1/4" tall, and has a depth of 7/8" at the thickest point.
