A unique and colorful "flip" ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in sleek platinum, this ring is encrusted with colorful stones. The central band in this "flip" ring features a split design, with half of the band featuring rubies and the other half featuring sapphires. All of the rubies and sapphires are square cuts and are held within channel-settings. The rubies have an approximate total carat weight of 1.25ctw, and the sapphires have an approximate total carat weight of 1.25ctw. The central ruby and sapphire band is complemented on both the top and bottom by half-length diamond bands. All of diamonds are held within bead-settings, display I/J color and VS1-SI1 clarity, and have an approximate total carat weight of .45ctw. These bands are both attached to a hinge on the side of the ruby and sapphire band, which allows them to "flip". Therefore, the wearer can wear a ruby and diamond ring one day, or a sapphire and diamond ring the next! A playful piece, this ring would make a fantastic addition to any Edwardian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements:The ring is a finger size 7.5, and would be difficult to resize due to the "flip"-design of the ring.
Condition:The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum bands, and all of the stones are secure and intact. The hinged-mechanism is intact and in working order.
