A fantastic pair of French earrings from the Georgian (ca1750s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold, these earrings begin with a highly-decorated circular component. The component features lovely seed pearls, which vary in size and shape. The pearls are organized to form a delicate blooming floral-motif, and are complemented by gold foliage-motifs. The earrings then features a larger component, which is also encrusted with seed pearls. The lower component features similar gold foliage-motifs, which add to the highly unique look of the earrings. When worn, the earrings are reminiscent of elaborate chandeliers, but are lightweight and comfortable. The earrings secure with simple lever backs.
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 1/2" long and measure 1" at their widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the pearls are secure and intact. The lever backs are secure and in working order.
